PG&E has Issued an RFI for a Biomethane Project - Register for

"PG&E is today issuing a Request for Information (“RFI”)
to identify partners for potential projects to demonstrate technologies
that could cost-effectively produce significant quantities of biomethane
(i.e. pipeline-quality methane derived from biomass). " For

"Perhaps the factor that should weigh heaviest in decisions to
expand the Simi Valley Landfill, however, is the emergence of new
"bioenergy" industries that can convert about 80 percent of
the materials currently going to landfills into environmentally
beneficial products..."
"For as long as civilizations have generated solid wastes, the
accepted disposal method has primarily been landfilling. This has
continued despite great advancements in technology, as well as
environmental impacts to our air and water created by many landfills used
for municipal solid waste."
