Biomass Coordinating
Council (BCC) - American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE)
The Biomass Coordinating Council (BCC) is formed under the auspices of
the American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE), a 501(c)(3), non-profit
organization based in Washington, D.C. BCC is working to accelerate the
adoption of renewable biofuels, biopower, and biobased products into
mainstream American society through work in policy initiatives, convening,
networking, and communications. BCC's goals include reducing America's
dependence on oil, creating a cleaner environment, and expanding markets
for rural America.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Biomass Program develops technology
for conversion of biomass (plant-derived material) to valuable fuels,
chemicals, materials and power, so as to reduce dependence on foreign oil
and foster growth of biorefineries. Biomass is one of our most important
energy resources.
BioEnergy Producers
Association
The mission of the BioEnergy Producers Association is to advance the
development and commercialization of sustainable, environmentally
preferable industries that produce power, fuels, and chemicals from
biomass and plastic wastes.

This Web site has information—some specific to California and some

CEERT provides technical support to environmental advocates and clean

Alliance
The Clean Energy States Alliance is a 12-state coalition of clean energy
funds that develops and promotes clean energy technologies and creates and
expands markets for these technologies.
Coalition for New
Energy Technologies
This Web site features information about the Coalition's activities in
Arizona and Colorado. The Coalition promotes its members and their
innovative energy technologies through outreach programs, policy advocacy,
and various other activities.
Consumer Energy
Center
This site provides California consumers with facts on installing solar and
wind projects, purchasing alternative fuel vehicles, as well as providing
tips to save energy. Specific advice for industrial and agricultural
consumers is also available.
Great Lakes Regional
Biomass Energy Program
The GLRBEP Web site offers information about its regional program
established by DOE to encourage greater production and use of bioenergy in
Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
Green Energy Ohio
This site promotes environmentally and economically sustainable energy
policies and practices in Ohio. It includes a monthly newsletter, a
renewable energy directory or Ohio, and brochures and fact sheets on
renewable energy and electric choices.
Harvesting Clean Energy
The program works to build awareness of the benefits of renewable energy
technologies for rural landowners and communities in Idaho, Montana,
Oregon, and Washington.
