Former EPA Official Urges Cooperation in MSW Management

This Op-Ed piece in the March/April 2010 issue of MSW Management Magazine by Rick Brandes, recently retired as Chief of the Energy Recovery and Waste Disposal Branch, Office of Resource Conservation and Recovery, of the U.S. EPA, constituted a powerful argument for the passage of AB 222, which would have expedited the introduction of 21st Century conversion technologies for the production of advanced biofuels, electricity and other products from organic wastes.
