American Council on Renewable Energy
The BioEnergy Producers Association is a member of ACORE, an organization of member companies and institutions that are dedicated to moving renewable energy into the mainstream of America’s economy, ensuring the success of the renewable energy industry while helping to build a sustainable and independent energy future for the nation.
The Biomass Coordinating Council (BCC), formed under the auspices of the American Council On Renewable Energy (ACORE), is working to accelerate the adoption of renewable biofuels, biopower, and biobased products into mainstream American society through work in policy initiatives, convening, networking, and communications. BCC's goals include reducing America's dependence on oil, creating a cleaner environment, and expanding markets for rural America.
As the national trade association for the U.S. ethanol industry, the Renewable Fuels Association (RFA) promotes policies, regulations and research and development initiatives that will lead to the increased production and use of fuel ethanol. RFA membership includes a broad cross-section of businesses, individuals and organizations dedicated to the expansion of the U.S. fuel ethanol industry.ls Association.
Growth Energy
Growth Energy is a new, proactive group committed to the promise of agriculture and growing America's economy through cleaner, greener energy.  Growth Energy promotes reducing greenhouse gas emissions, expanding the use of ethanol in gasoline, decreasing our dependence on foreign oil, and creating American jobs at home.
This Web site has information—some specific to California and some general—on renewable energy, energy efficiency, utility restructuring, fossil fuels, climate change, consumer tips, and much more.
California Biomass Collaborative
The California Biomass Collaborative is a statewide collaboration of government, industry, environmental groups, and educational institutions administered for the state by the University of California, Davis. Sponsored by the California Energy Commission and other agency and industry partners, the Collaborative works to enhance the sustainable management and development of biomass in California for the production of renewable energy, biofuels, and products
Los Angeles County maintains its own website advocating conversion technologies and how they can help address the County's needs in waste disposal and the programs they are pursuing to achieve their implementation.
Solid Waste Association of North America
For over 40 years, SWANA, The Solid Waste Association of North America, has been the leading professional association in the solid waste management field. SWANA’s mission is "to advance the practice of environmentally and economically sound management of municipal solid waste."  SWANA is working side-by-side with the BioEnergy Producers Association to advance new methods for the environmentally sensitive disposal of America's post-recycled municipal wastes.
Center for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Technologies
CEERT provides technical support to environmental advocates and clean technology developers in the western United States. The Web site includes news and events as well as information about solar, wind, biomass, hydroelectric, and geothermal power.
The Clean Energy States Alliance is a 12-state coalition of clean energy funds that develops and promotes clean energy technologies and creates and expands markets for these technologies.
The program works to build awareness of the benefits of renewable energy technologies for rural landowners and communities in Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.
National Database of State Incentives for Renewable Energy
This online database, known as DSIRE, provides state-by-state information on incentives, programs, and policies that promote renewable energy.
- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Biomass Program
- The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Biomass Program develops technology for conversion of biomass (plant-derived material) to valuable fuels, chemicals, materials and power, so as to reduce dependence on foreign oil and foster growth of biorefineries. Biomass is one of our most important energy resources
